Examples of Our Work

We spend most of our time working with design and marketing teams across the country. The amount of information we may disclose is often limited due to the nature of these partnerships. We have provided summaries of several selected (recent) projects, but we often have additional information available upon request.

Title: Pullman Regional Hospital
Client: Point Creative, Inc.
Server: Linux/Apache
Languages:css, xhtml, php, javascript, xhr
Tools: AspenMSM
Address: www.pullmanregional.org

Pullman Regional Hospital needed to replace their old website with one that matched their current needs as well as one that followed their new style/brand guidelines. We spent two days with their staff getting to know the requirements and the hospital.

We built this roughly 150 page website using AspenMSM, a content management system we've developed (under our sibling company, Trellis Development). We created several custom modules that allow contact/staff management, specialized searching, and more.

Feedback from website administration staff working at the hospital has been extremely positive and we're proud to finally see our efforts go live.

Title: Star Survey & Reporting
Client: Moto Interactive
Server: Linux/Apache
Languages:css, xhtml, php, xml, flash, javascript
Tools: nicedit
Address: www.starassessment.com

An East-coast company required a new survey creation and processing tool, with integrated custom flash reporting, data export, and quantitative data tracking features. We worked with multiple companies to combine design, flash, and our backend work into a very stable application.

The administration tool allows for custom surveys to be managed through a web interface. Those surveys are then presented to the public through an online survey application. That interface generates surveys based off of XML that is provided by the backend service. Survey results are stored and measured, and presented via XML to a custom flash reporting tool.

Title: Whack CMS
Client: Whack Media Design
Server: Apache/Linux
Languages: css, xhtml, php, javascript, mysql
Tools: jquery, tinymce
Address: n/a

Whack Media required an easy-to-use, easy-to-install content management system that was tailored to their clients and their website design style. We developed a custom cms with the ability to manage pages, events, blog posts, themes, with support for user accounts.

Whack Media has been very pleased with the end result, which continues to grow. Having a base tool allows for the development of reusable modules which decreases time and cost on many projects.

Title: Cushing-Engr.com
Client: Don Cushing Associates
Server: Windows / IIS
Languages: css, xhtml, php, javascript
Tools: mootools
Address: www.cushing-engr.com

Don Cushing Associates needed a new web presence - something that would look more professional, allow them additional room to describe the company and projects, and an improved system for displaying project photos.

We worked with DCA staff to develop a unique navigation system that would match their newest brochure design, yet would be suitible for use on the web.

Title: English360 Recurring Billing
Client: English360
Server: Linux / Apache
Languages: php
Tools: CakePHP
Address: www.english360.com

We worked with English360 to develop a new recurring billing feature that will allow users to signup for services as well as E360 staff to manage those subscriptions.

Users will be able to view their account status and history upon login, as well as upgrade and cancel their account entirely from the E360 website. We utilize Payflow Pro, a payment gateway service offered by Paypal and integrated our pre-existing classes with the original CakePHP application design.

Title: Manor Homes CMS
End Client: Manor Homes
Server: Linux / Apache
Languages: php 5, mysql
Tools: n/a
Address: www.mymanorhome.com

MyManorHome.com had plenty of recurring changes for their currently available property page. Rather than having someone modify the website each time we went in and created a custom content management system. The system allows their staff to easily add, edit, and remove neighborhoods as well as properties within them.

Managing these property listing has never been easier with fields for description, price, agent contact information, price, and a easy image management tool.

Title: AMB Property Corporation
End Client: AMB Property Corporation
Server: Linux / Apache
Languages: php 5, xml, javascript
Tools: n/a
Address: www.amb.com

AMB was a difficult project that remained extremely entertaining throughout. Due to unusual circumstances we were unable to utilize any database systems, so we had to invent an XML-based method for storing property data, picture associations, contact information, etc. The project was already limited by the fact that it was designed to run on IIS, the Microsoft web server. Creating the search feature was an additional obstacle as we had to write a custom content indexing system that would also use our new XML storage system.

AMB also had to support multiple languages so we worked closely with the design team to ensure that translations were easy to manage. We use only a single set of page design templates, and languages are pulled in dynamically when a page is requested. It makes design changes as well as language management extremely easy.

Title: SKB Investor Reports & CMS
End Client: ScanlanKemperBard Companies
Server: Linux / Apache
Languages: php 4, javascript
Tools: mysql, tinyMCE
Address: www.skbcos.com

Part one of this project involved creating a custom content management system that allowed administrators to add news items, press releases, PDF files, as well as articles. tinyMCE was used as the content editing tool and php/mysql handled the back-end.

Part two of this project involved creating a collection of php scripts that parse and import data from HTML reports of various investment accounts. Investors may login using personal account information and are able to view the reports securely. Our portion of this project involved php and mysql, as well as security improvements to the server and the application itself.

Title: Subscription Center
End Client: VersionTracker.com
Server: Linux / Apache
Languages: xhtml, css
Tools: n/a
Address: [click to visit]

In 2006 we were contracted to handle design modifications to VersionTracker.com, TechTracker.com, and MacFixIt.com. Most of it involved updating existing designs and working on new ideas for larger upcoming changes. One direct example of our design work is the new purchase tool (available at the link above). We worked with the designer to create a simple, breadcrumb-based navigation system.

We worked on ensuring cross-browser compatibility with each page as the developer completed each step in the process. Since we had control over the markup of this tool from it's creation we worked towards a valid, semantic markup base. We relied on conditional comments to ensure that the then-in-beta IE7 would work properly as well it's predecessor IE6. We replaced a hefty javascript with a css trick to ensure IE6 would observe proper min-width css definitions.
